Over the summer, some dear friends of mine, who are Special Education teachers, mentioned their frustration with composition journals for students. After talking to them, I came up with some journals for educators and homeschoolers to use.

Quarterly Primary Composition Notebooks for K – 2.

I made these journals in a wide array of colors and kept them shorter so that they can be used quarterly and not overwhelm the student with its thickness. The top half of these pages are blank for drawing and doodling. The bottom half are primary composition lines with the dotted mid-line for kids learning to write. I also included a brief grammar lesson, sight word list, and Alphabet/Number page.

Quarterly Wide-Ruled Composition Notebooks for 2nd – 5th Grade

Like the Primary composition notebook, I took these a step up for older Elementary School students. Again, the top half of the page is blank and the bottom half has wide-ruled lines for writing.
